Summer

it's been one year round of Summer. I remember the first time I got into North America was in Summer. We got a lot of sun almost everyday. People like spending out side of the house; biking, get sun tanning, BBQ, Camping, walking and do other things. It's fun time to be outside with family, friends. The temperature is around 20-30 degree C. But compare to Cambodia right now is rainny season. We got lot and lots of rain. But we hope it's not too much!

Close to the home...

The time is going by...by near to the home
It just went through without going back.
Share in the celebration!
June 21 is National Aboriginal Day, a time for all Canadians to regonize the diverse cultures and outstanding contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Metis peoples.
Yesterday, at work I went to the parks and the staffs with some of the youth at the Rainbow Youth Centre. We stoped by and watched things that were going on at eah of those places. It was a nice day as well. It was a warm day!!! Enjoy the time outside:) Out side in the communities they brought up with some entertainments to celebrate Aboriginal Day! These are some pictures I took on that day.

Let's celebrate our Day!

Foot Prints....

One night a man dreamed he was
walking along the beach with the Lord.

As scenes of his life flashed before him,
he noticed that there were two sets of footprints in the sand.
He also noticed at his saddest, lowest times
there was one set of footprints.

This bothered the man and he asked
the Lord, ''Did you not promise that
if I gave my heart to you that you'd
be iwth me all the way?
Then, why is there only one set of footprints
during my most trouble some times?

Then Lord replied, ''My precious child,
I love you and would never forsake you.

During thouse times of trial and suffering
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then I Carried You.''
One Step He Leads...

One step He leads, and one step I'll follow Him:) I do not know the future, so I will take one step to follow my Lord:)
========
It just a little note of a song in my heart today about following Jesus. I want to follow His step! Show me the path so that I will put my step afterward...''Your word is a lamp to feet and is the light to my path.'' Psalm 119:105

The feeling in between of time ...
The time is going by very fast. A year is almost done. Sometime I start to comepare with time I just got into Canada at the very first month of the time. Imagine the time that we meet the people and we say hello but now the time of saying goodbye. The feeling that rushing, pushing myself but infact I am still here. The time of rethinking and remember what a beautiful exprienced year here and I can say ''Yes, I have had a very good year in my life'' and give thanks to the Lord of making today of mylife meaningful. The time of learning everything new-I enjoyed, am enjoying and will be rememable in the future. It is an amazing year of life:) Always looking upward ;-)

My Easter in Canada

Easter here in Canada is one of the big events. The time of celebrating and rememberance of JESUS has done for the world. The time of greatful of Him and His ressurection from the dead. The Good Friday (April 6th), the day of worshiping with God's people here at the Conexous Art Centre. I love that time of being together worship one God that He is alive! At Easter Sunday, at church we celebrated, we sang the songs, we have a feast together. And the time of being with family as well. I have been to Fiske (April 7th-10th) again with my host family to visit their parents. We have had a great time together. Also, I have seen the Canadian culture as they celebrated Easter. On Easter Monday, myself and the family members: the little children, the auntie, the uncle went out side the house to find the Easter basket. I found one too! One week later on the Saturday I have joined with the Laotian Family Night: We have talked about what the Good Friday and the Easter mean to you? We have heard the sharing from the couple of Canadian about the Easter: Why we see lots of chicken/ chicken egg symbol in Easter all over the place? During the winter time, it's too cold for the chicken to lay the egg. It's hard to find egg. And when the time of Spring coming up again, everything is fresh, everything comes to life. The grasses are green and the chicken start to lay the egg. It's a sign of Jesus has come back to a new life-eternal life. The ressurection of Jesus! He is alive!!! Also at work, I dyed the egg with the little kids. It was fun!!! I took some pictures of this event.

The power of PRAYER

Prayer is so important!!! Prayer is the source of life! Jesus goes to talk to the Father God in every time! Moses was interceded for Israelities while they had a fighting with Amalek. This morning I prayed and I found peace from the Lord into my soul and the strength for the challenge of the day! Pray without ceasing. Say a greatful to the Lord for His beautiful things has done into my life! Say out loud about His wonderful name! To Him alone to deserve my praise!!! My heart just cried out to Lord for my IVEPers friends and family!!! I love talking with my Lord:) Give thanks to the most high!!!
My trip to Winnipeg

Refreshment Time...

I just got back from the mid-year conference which held in Saskatoon from the Feb. 5th to 12 th. It was really greatttt time of being together. We did have a very good time. The time of getting to know one another deeper and we felt closer than we have met once in the first conference. Time of sharing and learning from everyone. I want to call the time of Refreshment! We have been refreshed by learning together from the very special session-Peaceful Action in Conflict. The peace we have learned and want to share to people among us. The session has made to show more of Jesus' love in peaceful way to my host family, the people at work, at church and everywhere I go I want to...Back to my home country-I have learned about the peace that I want to do more than before of time with my family, friends and others...Learning back my home culture a lot during this Refreshement time. The refreshment of soul, mind, heart, and strength by having devotion, singing, and hearing the word of encouragement through our local pastors in the conference! The time of knowing more cultural Canadian family even it was just a week together with our host families, it was really meaningful time together. I enjoyed a lot of knowing my host:) I can't forget this wonderful time together.

The Pine Trees
At Fiske, I have spent Christmas with my host mother and two host brothers with her parents and family. All pics of pin trees I took in Fiske-the farm where 3 hours and a half drive from the Regina city.

MY FIRST X'MAS with the Snow
At the Christmas gathering in December, SK IVEPers can be able to share about each of our countries' Christmas celebration at church. Also, I have shared about how we celebrate Christmas in Cambodia as well even we do not have snow...
we still can celebrate the King of Peace to come on earth...it is a time to tell the gospel to our family and friends by invite them over to the special Christmas celebration at church.

Here, they had a pin tree in the house for decoration during Christmas as I saw in my host family and most people at church...they were very pretty trees with the decoration. I have shared with this as well that we just have the artificial one in Cambodia, we could not have the real on like here... Along the way on the bus I saw lots of pin trees they grow in Regina...I always say to myself: Oh, I like this one and I will choose that one! There are so many to choose. So which one will you choose in these three pictures?

It's my HOUSE! It looks clear without snow...I took it in the Fall actually. We can see the beautiful blue sky through the tree without leafs....

And this is the one in Winter time with a little big hill in front of the house... The hill was made up for opening to children from the neighborhood as our community, my host father said, so that they can come and slide down and have fun...sometimes on the weekend there are some children they come and play around and slide down the hill...the dog-Clipsey, she barked at the first time but now she get used to them... Me too I have stoped by at night time from work, sometimes on the nice day, the weather is not so cold, I just climb up to the top of the hill and look up to see lots of stars and the moon...it is very beautiful. Then I slided down...it was fun:)

"It's good to see the children from the neighbor come and play around, so we can getting to know them", my host father said. He added that this is one of the ways we can building up a good community.

And you're welcome to come and have fun with this a little big hill as well!
